My favourite thing about Notebook LM is how it makes thorough research possible within real time constraints. Thanks for putting this together!

One cannot say anymore, I don't have time to learn.

I have stubbornly resisted testing out NotebookLM but finally cracked a few days ago. Oh my. I'm hooked. I thought the audio idea was tacky until I created one from my own content and then I LOVED it, lol. It's such a cool tool and I like that it can be focused so purposefully. I just wish I could edit the infographics/slides etc (or is there an edit button I have missed?!).

You can, with better prompting and iteration. Also, try to interrupt the podcast, it's so cool!

Love how NotebookLM turns research into action.

Feels like having an accountability partner that keeps you focused, tracks progress, and turns insights into real steps.

How are you using AI to stay consistent and actually do what matters, not just plan it?

Joel Salinas's avatar

Great question! I think keeping your brain engaged in the process is critical

Data Frank's avatar

Yes, it is

What stands out here isn’t just the speed, it’s the shift from either/or trade-offs to yes/and possibilities. Depth without delay. Precision without paralysis. Do you think tools like this will eventually shift how leaders define what “due diligence” even means?

Joel Salinas's avatar

I really think so. I think too often leaders leave the determining of what sources to base research on entirely to ai, which is a huge risk

Nice breakdown of NotebookLM's most functionalities in one post! I tried using NotebookLM's infographics earlier but found the output of Gemini Nano Banana better. I guess NotebookLM's visual output will keep improving!

Joel Salinas's avatar

And that will push Gemini to improve, which will push everyone else to improve.

Hola Salinas! Rob Tercek turned me onto your article. It's great, and I will use your words of wisdom moving forward on my new book, "If Laughter is the Best Medicine, Let's Use it s Medicine"

Thank you, Professor! I’d love to read your new book when it comes out. By the way, I just published an updated version here: https://leadershipinchange.com/p/use-notebooklm-better-than-most-leaders?r=39yk2m

NotebookLM 2026 isn’t just a research tool, it’s a full productivity pipeline. From source-controlled research to slides, infographics, and interactive audio, it turns what used to take weeks into minutes while preserving credibility. A masterclass in human-AI augmentation!

Joel Salinas's avatar

Agreed! Hey you’ve had some awesome content lately, keep it up

Suhrab Khan's avatar

Appreciate that! I’m keeping the focus on practical AI insights that actually make a difference, glad it’s resonating.
