Love the USB-C for AI framing :) Very creative! My favorite thing about MCPs are how user friendly it makes building agents. Pick one tool you already use every day, connect it, and suddenly AI stops being complex.
Great post Joel! Absolutely agree here. A total gamechanger! I see a future where most tools you will never visit and your agents will use for you. Some are already there. Thankfully 😅 as UX really needs fixing in many cases 🤩😉
MCP seems to provide a vital link between AI and our existing tools. How can leaders ensure they are effectively implementing it in their organisations?
The USB-C analogy is exactly right. Most people are still treating AI like a smart search box because they are tired of copy-pasting their entire life into a prompt window.
The real shift happens when the model actually has context of your own data stack. It stops being a novelty and becomes infrastructure.

Thank you! I know it goes with what you often write about!
Most leaders decided AI wasn't worth it while still locked out of their own systems.
Haha so true!

A great explanation of a topic that many people overcomplicate. AI becomes much more useful when it can actually work with the tools you already use

MCPs are safe connections to your AI stack. Plain English but easy to understand for non-AI techies out there. Good recap, Joel.
