Really fascinating read, I especially resonated with the opinions of “goldmine” and “quiet launch”. Definitely coming back for the next round to soak up more of Chris’ thinking!

Amazing interview read! Love the emphasis on pain-point identification rather just building a product without understanding the core problems. Also, the approach of "quiet launch" is a great learning exercise! Benefit of reading this post today is that I can straight away jump to Part 2 now :P

Congratulations on your book launch, Chris!

Just been doing a little further reading on this and, according to Harvard Business Review, narrowing priorities to just a handful measurably improves execution, which ties beautifully to Chris’s point. Joel, what struck you most in your conversations with Chris - his pattern recognition across hundreds of companies, or the simplicity of the principles he applies?

I think the pattern recognition is hard to deny, it is based on experience over years, and I love the objectivity of data to show something

Found the discovery process particularly useful, it's very applicable to me as I'm honing and marketing my core offer.
